I am so happy and thankful for this moment. It’s incredibly surreal, and very exciting. I am also happy for everyone involved in this project. I watched them pour their hearts and souls into their work every day, and it’s great to see that work recognized. We were all incredibly passionate about telling this story. … I’ve loved this play for 20 years — it changed my life, and that’s why I wanted to be a part of the film. [x] …This play and this film has meant so much to so many people. Everybody really believed in the story. For me, it was a dream come true.  I would have been happy doing it in a regional theater. It’ll take a week to kick in. Maybe it never will.
